Prof. Dr. Zahid Mahmood is one of Lahore’s most experienced and respected surgeons — an accomplished Professor of Surgery, General Surgeon, Laparoscopic (keyhole) Surgeon, Laser Surgeon and Proctologist holding the qualifications MBBS, FCPS, with over 30 years of surgical experience.

For more than two decades he has served as a senior consultant at Hameed Latif Hospital and Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital, Lahore, where he has helped countless patients through safe, successful surgery. He is known for combining advanced, minimally invasive techniques with genuine, patient-centred care — so that patients recover faster, with less pain and smaller scars.

His practice covers the full breadth of general and specialist surgery, including laparoscopic gallbladder, appendix and hernia surgery; laser treatment of piles, anal fissure and fistula; thyroid and endocrine surgery; breast surgery; varicose vein treatment; and emergency and complex abdominal surgery.

As a Professor of Surgery, Prof. Mahmood is deeply committed to education — teaching and mentoring medical students and surgical residents, contributing to surgical training, and promoting public health awareness through patient-education programmes, articles and videos.
